Khetala App ("Khetala," "we," "our," or "the Platform") operates a local services and marketplace platform that connects customers with independent service providers, farmers, transport owners, equipment operators, product sellers, and small businesses across Nepal. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have.
This Privacy Policy applies to people who use Khetala as customers, service providers, product sellers, farmers, transport owners, equipment operators, small businesses, and marketplace visitors.

From customers, we may collect your name, phone number, location, service or product inquiries, booking or request history, and communications needed to connect you with providers or sellers.
From providers and sellers, we may collect your name, phone number, business details, location, service or product listings, photos, pricing, availability, and verification details needed to confirm that your listing is traceable and legitimate.
We may also collect basic device and app usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, and performance or analytics data used to improve the Platform.
Khetala uses location to show customers nearby services, products, sellers, and providers, and to help providers become discoverable to nearby customers.
Location access is intended for use while the app is open and active. We do not use location to continuously track users when the app is closed.
Approximate area or distance may be shown before a request is confirmed. More specific location or address details may be shared between a customer and provider only when needed to complete a request, delivery, or service.
You can decline or withdraw location permission through your device settings, but doing so may limit core marketplace features.
We use information to create and manage accounts, verify providers and sellers, show relevant local listings, enable customer inquiries, support direct contact between users, improve safety and trust, prevent misuse, provide customer support, and improve Khetala's services.
We may use aggregated or non-identifying information to understand marketplace activity and improve the Platform.
We do not sell personal information.
We may share limited information between customers and providers or sellers when a service inquiry, booking, product request, delivery, or transaction needs to be completed. This may include name, phone number, listing details, and relevant location or address information.
We may share information with trusted service providers who support our operations, such as hosting, SMS or OTP delivery, maps, analytics, security, and customer support tools.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, government authority, or to protect users, Khetala, or the public from fraud, misuse, or harm.
Khetala is a marketplace platform that helps customers discover and contact independent service providers, sellers, farmers, transport owners, equipment operators, and small businesses.
Khetala does not own, operate, or directly provide the services, vehicles, equipment, products, or materials listed by independent users. Providers and sellers are responsible for the quality, safety, accuracy, availability, and legality of what they list.
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Platform, maintain account records, resolve disputes, prevent misuse, comply with legal obligations, and support business operations.
Verification documents and sensitive provider information are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for onboarding, compliance, dispute resolution, and safety purposes, and access is limited to authorized personnel.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you.
You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
You may request account closure or deletion of your information, subject to information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
You may withdraw location permission at any time through your device settings, though this may limit important Khetala features.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and secure handling practices for sensitive data.
No digital service can guarantee complete security, but we work to protect user information and respond responsibly if a security issue occurs.
Khetala is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to Khetala, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, SMS, email, or another reasonable method.
Continued use of Khetala after the updated Policy takes effect means you accept the updated Policy.
